It is our mission to provide you with top-quality pain management care. During your initial visit, you will meet with our highly qualified, double board-certified pain management physicians. They will conduct a thorough exam and review of your medical history, after which they will develop a comprehensive treatment regimen to help manage and improve your pain. We aim to restore your function, and improve your pain through medications, minimally invasive treatments, and innovative medical approaches to pain management.

We ask that you obtain copies of your medical records such as any imaging or documentation of previous procedures, surgeries, or pain management treatments, etc.  For your convenience we have included an authorization for medical record release. You should give it to your referring physician to expedite the process.

We do our best to confirm all new patient appointments 24 hours in advance. In the event that you cannot keep the appointment on the attached card, we ask that you please notify us within 48 hours of your appointment time. You can also make changes to, or cancel your appointment on our website.

We do offer IV sedation for all procedures performed by our physicians (or doctors?) at our pain management clinic. It is administered by a CRNA who works with Dr. (enter name here) throughout the entire procedure to ensure your safety and comfort. If you would like to be sedated, you must follow the following steps:

  1. You cannot consume any food, hard candy, liquids, etc. 6-8 hours prior to the scheduled procedure time.
  2. You may drink clear liquids such as water or black coffee, up until 2 hours prior to your scheduled procedure time.
  3. You must have a responsible driver who is at least 18 years of age that must remain ON SITE for the entire length of the procedure. The total time from when you walk into the clinic until you leave the recovery room is approximately 1 hour depending on the procedure being performed.
  4. You must refrain from smoking 6-8 hours prior to the scheduled procedure time.

We will discharge you the same day following your pain management procedure with your post-procedural instructions. Due to the local anesthetic that is used, it is common for patients to experience weakness and or numbness in the treated areas for a few hours after the procedure. During the first 24 hours after your procedure, you may experience an increase in your pain due to inflammation from any steroid that is used. This should subside in a short amount of time and can typically be controlled with anti-inflammatories and ice. In the event that you experience any of the following symptoms, please contact us immediately:

  • A high fever (101° F or greater.)
  • Severe positional headache that is not improved with fluids, rest, caffeine, etc.
  • Loss of bladder or bowel control.

We require that you check in 15 minutes prior to your scheduled pain management appointment time and fill out the consent forms for the procedure. All co-pays, co-insurance, and deductible payments are due at the time of the service, unless other arrangements such as a payment plan are made in advance. If you need to cancel or reschedule your procedure please notify us within 24 hours of your scheduled time to avoid any cancellation fees. We ask that you bring a list of your current medications, allergies, and medical conditions with you on your procedure day, as well as wear loose fitting clothing giving the physicians access to the treatment area.
